2 parts in 1 volume. 4to (270 x 213 mm). Engraved frontispiece (for part I), engraved title page for part II, 25 engraved plates (24 hand-colored). Contemporary tree calf, ruled in gilt, rebacked retaining original spine. Repairs to covers, scattered browning and offsetting.
FIRST EDITION. The engravings were prepared by James Newton after drawings by the author. Barbut himself is known to have applied the hand-coloring to at least some copies. Nissen ZBI 221.
