FIRST EDITION of Aleotti\’s Italian translation of Hero\’s Pneumatics, the first edition in Italian. Hero\’s treatise describes and illustrates various steam-powered devices and toys, including fire engines, mechanical signing birds, a pipe organ, and automatic doors.
