FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. Müller was a Danish naturalist who was commissioned by Frederik V to continue the work of Georg Christian Oeder on Flora Danica, to which he added 2 volumes. As one of the first biologists to study micro-organisms, Müller was something of a pioneer, establishing new classifications for a number of animals which had been overlooked by Linnaeus.
