FIRST EDITION OF RARE COLLECTION OF BOTANICAL WRITINGS by James Edward Smith, who in 1784 purchased the collections of Linnaeus, through Sir Joseph Banks. He founded the Linnaean Society in 1788, and wrote extensively on Botany. These treatises contain the first description of Boronia. No copy traced at auction since 1985.
