Woodcut tables and charts in text. Modern quarter vellum and marbled boards. Several leaves with paper repairs, dampstaining, some ink marginalia. Latin translation of Sefer ham-moladot by 12th-century Spanish-Jewish astronomer (as well as poet and scholar) Ibn Ezra, illustrated with woodcut astrological tables. Houzeau/ Lancaster 3908.
2. MAIMONIDES, MOSES. 1135-1204. De idololatria liber. Amsterdam: Johann and Cornelius Blaeu, 1642.
4to (192 x 146 mm). Woodcut printer\’s device on title page, text in Hebrew and Latin. Modern quarter morocco and marbled boards. Several leaves with repaired chipping at edges, browning, some light dampstaining. FIRST EDITION, translated into Latin by Dionies Vos (1612-1633) from Maimonides\’ Mishneh Torah. Rare in this edition, with none found at American Book Prices Current since 1980. Cowley p 476; Zedner p 584.
