signed \’John Bentham-Dinsdale\’ (lower left); further signed, titled and inscribed \’12^th April 1854 the British vessel Fury captured a Russian Schooner but was driven off by a superior Russian force of frigates Brigs. They were the first shot fired in the Crimean War.\’ (on the reverse)
